Country Club stucco, Morningside Tudors, Indian Hills cedar and Parkwood Knolls ramblers. We have painted more than 490 Edina homes since 2018, and most of what we see here is either a 1920s-30s house that needs careful prep or a newer high-end exterior where the finish has to be flawless.

Edina is really two painting markets. East of Highway 100, the Country Club district, Morningside and the streets around 50th & France are 1920s and 1930s stucco, Tudor and Colonial homes. These need oxidation washing, elastomeric patching on hairline stucco cracks, lead-safe prep on original wood trim and a paint system that breathes. West of 100, Indian Hills, Parkwood Knolls, Rolling Green and the newer builds off Gleason Road are mostly cedar shake, cedar lap and lap-and-shake exteriors where the work is about even coverage, clean lines and stain that holds up.
Edina homeowners also ask us for more stain work than almost any other city: transparent and semi-transparent stains on cedar, solid stain on older shakes, and deck and pergola refinishing. If your house has stained wood, ask for a stain-specific proposal rather than a paint bid.
Full exteriors on stucco, cedar, lap and shake siding, with lead-safe prep on pre-1978 homes.
Walls, ceilings, trim and doors, scheduled around how you live in the house.
Oxidation wash, crack patching and a masonry-rated coating that breathes.
Cedar siding, decks and entries in transparent through solid stains.
Sprayed factory-style finishes on kitchen and bath cabinets.
Rotted sills, trim, porch parts and siding rebuilt before the painters start.
Real homes our crews painted in Edina. Street names only, no house numbers.

“Paris Painting painted our cedar shake siding home. We went from a darker color to white. They were very professional and had great communication. I feel like they vetted out the project well so we didn't have any surprises.”

Over the last two seasons the middle half of our Edina exterior projects ran from $4,920 to $9,740, with a median of $7,650. What moves the number is size, siding type, carpentry and whether the home is pre-1978 and needs lead-safe prep.
Residential exterior projects we completed in Edina, 2025 through September 2026 (n=99). Every project is priced on site; these are the real range, not a quote.
If the house was built before 1978, assume yes until it is tested. Most of the Country Club district and Morningside predates 1940, so our crews there follow EPA RRP lead-safe practices: 10-foot plastic containment, hand scraping of loose paint with no sanding, no power tools and no open flame, HEPA vacuuming and hand collection of chips, and EPA disposal. We are an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm and the lead-safe steps are itemized on your proposal.
Over the last two seasons our exterior projects in Edina ran from about $4,920 to $9,740 for the middle half of jobs, with a median of $7,650. Larger stucco homes with carpentry repairs and full lead-safe prep go higher; single-story ramblers with vinyl or aluminum trim go lower. Our exterior pricing guide breaks down what moves the number.
Yes. For stucco we use a masonry-rated acrylic or elastomeric coating, patch hairline cracks first, and can color-match an existing shade or help you pick a new one. If you are working with a color consultant, send us the scheme and we will price it exactly as specified.
Both. We do transparent, semi-transparent, semi-solid and solid stains on cedar shake and lap siding, and we will tell you honestly when a previously stained house has weathered past the point where a transparent stain will still look good.
Most Edina exteriors are washed one day, then painted over two to four working days depending on size, prep and weather. Your project manager sets the schedule with you before the crew arrives and walks the finished house with you at the end.
An estimator comes to the house, measures it, checks for lead and rot, and leaves you a printed proposal with the prep steps itemized. No pressure and no obligation.
