We have completed more than 30 painting projects in Lake Elmo since 2019, and the number grows every year with the city's new neighborhoods. Lake Elmo gives us the cleanest comparison of what an exterior costs when nothing has to be fixed first: new lap-and-shake siding, no lead, no rot.
Much of Lake Elmo's recent housing is 2015-2026 construction in the Inwood, Wyndham and Old Village areas: LP and Hardie lap siding with shake accents, metal soffits and stained front entries. Those paint quickly with a quality acrylic and a DTM primer on metal, and there is no lead-safe surcharge. The older part of Lake Elmo, along the lakes and on larger acreage lots, has 1970s-90s cedar homes and some stucco, where staining and carpentry come into play. Interiors are steady year-round.
